Justine Sylvester, MFT-A

Clinician Bio

Hello! My name is Justine Sylvester and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist with over 10 years of experience in the mental health field.

Although I have worked with a variety of populations and age ranges, I currently specialize in helping children and adolescents navigate anxiety, depression, and challenges with social skills and life transitions. I strive to create a warm, playful and safe space where kids feel understood and supported as they learn to express their feelings and build their confidence.

As a child therapist, I use play, creative activities, and a relationship-centered approach to support kids who are struggling with such topics. I believe that children learn best when they feel safe, seen, and valued, so l focus on building trust and meeting each child at their developmental level.

Through our work together, kids gain emotional vocabulary, coping tools, and social confidence, while parents receive guidance to support growth at home.

Additionally, I work closely with families to provide practical tools and strategies that help children manage tough emotions, strengthen friendships, and feel more secure in their world. My goal is to empower both kids and parents so they can grow, connect, and thrive together.

Family life can be complex and you don’t have to do it alone. Together, we can work at a pace that feels comfortable for every individual. If you and your child need extra support, I would be honored to be a part of that journey. Please reach out today.

Outside of work, I am a busy wife and mother of 3 littles. In my spare time, you’ll find me cooking or crafting but most definitely, always with a coffee in hand!
