Brandon Burns, LPC

Clinician Bio

Hey! My name is Brandon Burns, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I work with adolescents and adults dealing with anxiety, depression, school-related issues, relationship challenges, co-parenting challenges, domestic violence, life transitions, and more.

I utilize evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness techniques to help support you in navigating the obstacles in your life and achieving your goals.

My goal is to provide a safe environment where you feel not only supported, but also heard. At the end of the day, this is your journey and I am here to help you along the way. I also like to incorporate some humor in sessions so that not every session feels so daunting.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Clinical Professional Counseling from CCSU. Prior to LEAP, I have worked in an outpatient setting helping adolescents and adults with various issues. I then transitioned to working in the Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) program at the same agency in which I helped families learn communication skills, co-parenting skills, and emotional regulation skills in the hopes of reducing future IPV incidents.

In my free time, I like to watch movies, TV shows, hang out with friends, play basketball, and take naps with my dog!

Please reach out if you feel like you’re ready to take the next step. I look forward to being a part of your journey!
