Alexis Algarin, LPC-A

Clinician Bio

Hi, I’m Alexis Algarin, LPCA, a mental health counselor dedicated to supporting children, teens, and young adults as they navigate life’s challenges. I specialize in stress management, emotional regulation, and building self-confidence, with a strong focus on helping young children experiencing ADHD, anxiety, depression, and the effects of trauma.

I use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and person-centered therapy to meet each client’s unique needs. I also incorporate creative and developmentally appropriate methods, including art therapy, play therapy, and group therapy, to help clients express themselves and build effective coping skills. My experience includes working with children and young adults who have experienced various obstacles in life, and some who need support in emotional regulation as well as support in healing through some forms of trauma.

I strive to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel comfortable being themselves and empowered to overcome life’s obstacles. I believe in meeting each individual where they are and working collaboratively to foster growth, resilience, and healing.

I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor’s degree in Child Psychology, with over four years of experience in the field. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) and certified in Art Therapy.

Outside of my work, I enjoy exercising, taking nature walks, reading, painting, and spending quality time with my family activities that help me stay grounded and connected.

I look forward to supporting you or your child on the journey toward healing and growth.
