Camille Vaughn, LCSW

Clinician Bio

About my approach (style) to therapy

I’m dedicated to meeting people where they are in moments of need, and creating a space where people can be their authentic selves. With transparency and compassion, I provide a culturally safe and non-judgmental approach, supporting individuals to grow insight, create skillful responses, and strengthen awareness in one’s journey of meaningful change and growth. I integrate a strength-based perspective, as well as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness techniques and solution focused therapeutic work to help others find empowerment, balance, and live their best lives.

About my background and training

I graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor degree in Psychology. I continued my postgraduate degree at Yeshiva University School of Social Work, earning my LMSW in 2013 and my LCSW in 2016. Populations I’ve worked with include families in child welfare, adults with special needs children, as well as community services and day treatment for adults with significant mental health concerns. Overall, I’ve been in the field of social work for 20 years and counting. My specialties include anxiety, depression, domestic violence, crisis intervention, and stress management.

About my work (ideal clients)

I enjoy working with all age groups and genders, with much of my experience supporting adults and families. I’m currently looking to focus my attention on individual adults (18 years of age and older) with presenting issues of depression, anxiety, stress, and overcoming life transitions. I’m committed to supporting clients to reach their mental health and wellness goals.

About me (personal interests)

When not connecting with clients, I enjoy spending my time decorating and organizing spaces, traveling locally and abroad, and relaxing at the beach. Oh, and I love to laugh. I’m a strong advocate for self-care, being present in the moment and indicating daily joys. My motto: We only have one life to live, this isn’t a rehearsal!
