It may have been a long time since considering therapy or feeling a need for additional support. I understand it can be overwhelming to initially take the first step. I want you to feel you can reach out today without knowing where to begin. My approach to therapy is understanding where you are in the present moment and working collaboratively with you step by step. You may have your own ideas to treatment, and I am open to understanding those ideas and working with you to achieve your goals. We can work together to integrate research-based interventions to your treatment. I specialize in addiction/substance use disorders. I also specialize in dual diagnosis/co-occurring disorders to substance use. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Councelor who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Roger Williams University and a Master of Arts degree from University of Saint Joseph. I served as the President of Psi Chi, International Honor Society in Psychology. In my time as president, I immersed myself in mental health trainings and conferences. I have completed trainings in Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I have worked with adults with substance use disorder for 5 years in a variety of settings including in-home and inpatient/outpatient programs. I have also worked with families and led psychoeducational groups to provide education surrounding dual diagnosis such as relapse prevention, anxiety/depression, trauma, grief and loss, etc. As a therapist, my goal is to provide you with non-judgmental therapy and to grow with you along the way.Danielle Ternullo, LPC
