About my approach (style) to therapy…

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a broad base of counseling experience with; children, adolescents and families. Areas of emphasis; mood disorders, anxiety disorders, bi-polar disorders and Asperger/Autism Spectrum. I view mental health holistically, incorporating the roles of mind, body and spirit as key components to healthy living. I am a relationships based counselor, which uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy as my models for treatment.

About my background and training

Considerable experience working with adolescence who have suffered various types of physical and or sexual abuse, varying degrees of trauma, dysfunctional family systems and physical disabilities. Experience dealing with teen social issues, divorce, couples and self harm.

About my work (ideal clients)

I am a relationships based therapist with a focus on developing skills which will assist clients in managing everyday issues. I attempt to establish a therapeutic connection with clients to create a safe and honest atmosphere for growth and understanding of ones’ needs.
