Welcome! I’m Samina Grimes, a licensed professional counselor dedicated to supporting individuals through various life transitions and mental health challenges. With over two decades of experience in the helping profession and being licensed as a counselor since 2010, I bring a wealth of knowledge and compassion to my practice. I firmly believe in mental health recovery, drawing from my own lived experiences with neurodiversity, anxiety, and depression. My approach is rooted in a recovery-oriented and hope-infused philosophy, emphasizing that healing is possible and that every individual has the potential to find their authentic self and ensure actions align with their values.
I live in Western Wisconsin with my wife, family, and our two dogs, who inspire me every day to connect with others and promote a sense of belonging.
**Part-Time Practice:**
I am dedicated to my private practice, where I work part-time—nights and weekends—carrying a client load of 10-20 clients. This allows me to pursue my passion for mental health recovery work while balancing my responsibilities with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. Please note that those enrolled in the Wisconsin Division of Vocational Rehabilitation would not be a fit for me due to a conflict of interest as I work as an Advanced Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor.
