My approach to therapy is all about working with you in a way that feels comfortable and real. I believe in creating a safe and supportive space where you can talk openly about what’s on your mind, without fear of judgment. My goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make changes in your life. I use different tools and techniques to help you manage your emotions, understand your thoughts, and create healthier habits. This might include things like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, or practical strategies to help you cope. My goal is to help you feel confident in handling any life transition or situation such as trauma, behavioral concerns, the pressure of a high-stress job, and or day to day anxiety and stressors. Together, we’ll go at your pace and focus on what matters most to you. I earned my Bachelor of Social Work from Southern Connecticut State University, as well my Master of Social Work from Sacred Heart University, where I focused on trauma, crisis situations, and how to help people manage these experiences in healthy ways. I’ve also received additional training in trauma care and school based social work. I have certifications in working with both youth and first responders. On a personal level, I’m not only the significant other of a first responder, but I also grew up around family members who worked in first responder fields. Because of this, I understand firsthand the unique challenges of living with someone in a high-stress profession. I understand the challenging roles that first responders and families face day to day. This personal experience allows me to connect on a deeper level with families who are navigating similar struggles and to offer the support they need. In addition to private practice, my passion for first responders goes one step further as I also serve as a Police Social Worker within a police department. I work with a variety of clientele. I specialize primarily in helping: My goal is to help you feel more balanced, supported, and confident as you navigate life’s ups and downs.Rosa Conte, LMSW
About my approach (style) to therapy…
About my background and training…
About my work (ideal clients)…
About me (personal interests)…
Born and raised in Norwich CT, I love to give back to my community and take care of my own well-being. In my free time, I enjoy spending time in the gym or outside either in nature or along the beach. If I am not listening to country music, I am more than likely listening to a motivational podcast, cheesy I know but it helps! I am a Dog Mom to an Irish Setter named Rhett who I absolutely love! I often say I am an old soul, who enjoys simplicity in life. I firmly believe in the universe having your back, and what you put out it will always read. So, live your life with positivity, the clouds don’t always stay grey!
